Help! My PSP won't charge?

It won't charge when I plug it in, and it won't turn on when the charger is plugged in. So, basically it won't run on the power that the charger is offering. Please help. I'm lost without my PSP. There are so many great songs on it. A7X, Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, etc.
