Is it okay to start a new acne medication at night when a different product was used in the morning?

I started taking an acne medication called AcneFree Terminator 10 and the last time I used it was just this morning. However, it made my skin red and caused it to burn, so my mom picked up a new acne medication while I was at school. It's called Alba Botanica Natural Acne Dote and I was hoping this would work better since it doesn't contain many harsh chemicals. But will it cause irritation to my skin if I start taking this new acne medication tonight after using a different medication this morning? Thanks. :)
