What was he trying to imply when he said this?

i think it is very wrong of him to pressure you into a image that you wouldnt comfortable being, but you see guys like to have girly girls because it makes them feel manly and like to feel protective of their womenn and such. you seem like a quite confident headstrong woman, maybe he just wants you to be a lil girly. make more effort on your dates cos it is unfair on him as well. dont have to put loads of make up but just foundation, powder, little subtle eyeshadow ,eyeliner and mascara. then put on a lil nicer dress and nice shoes just make effort otherwise he'll start loosinghis interest in you. without making loads of vast changes, just try and make a lil bit more effort on your date nights with him, just to keep the chemistry alive in your relationship
