Why do people's minds go into the gutter when they see me doing this?

I sometimes have a hot dog and when I put it into my mouth I get strange looks from people like they are expecting me to do something with it apart from eating it. One time a guy stared at me so long I asked "Yes?" and he said "Having fun?" and I said "You are disturbing my Lunch get lost"
